Behavioural Consultant

The Behavioural Consultant designs and monitors individualized ABA-based intervention programs. They provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the program, provide ongoing training, monitoring and evaluation of Behavioural Interventionists and caregivers and conduct periodic assessments to track your child’s progress.

They will supervise every other team meeting and attend monthly clinical team meetings to continually evaluate each intervention program. They design data collection protocols and interpret data to make data-based decisions relative to each child’s program. They also perform functional assessments; design positive behaviour support plans with families, schools &/or community programs; provide implementation support for behavioural intervention and positive behaviour support plans; and prepare supports & materials.

Senior Behavioural Interventionists (SBI)

The Senior Behavioural Interventionist (also known as Junior Behavioural Consultant) is a key member of the Consulting team that works alongside of the Behavioural Consultant. The SBI is responsible for supervision and training of Behaviour Interventionists, planning for and running team meetings, program planning and material preparation, and meeting with the Behaviour Consultant to review and update your child’s program. The SBI also runs one session a week (or more if requested and available) with your child in the home or community.

Behavioural Interventionists (BI)

Behaviour Interventionists come to your home or community setting on a regular basis to work one-to-one with your child on the skills outlined in the Behavioural Plan of Intervention. FCPG’s Behavioural Interventionists receive high quality training and supervision on an on-going basis.

Your Consulting team will provide ongoing training and evaluation of your BIs, including video and live observations, with regular feedback about their work performance.
